
On April 2, 2026,
the Office of Arts and Culture, Suan
Sunandha Rajabhat University, led by Dr.
Nantida Otakum (Deputy Director for
International Affairs and
Collaboration), Mr. Chanaphop Wannaolan
(Head of Arts and Culture Conservation,
Development, and Maintenance), and Ms.
Wimonchat Lertkochasee (Curator), held a
consultative meeting with Ms. Lillian
Tong, Director of the Pinang Peranakan
Mansion, Malaysia. The meeting aimed to
strengthen institutional ties and
explore future collaborative
opportunities.
The Pinang
Peranakan Mansion is a prominent
heritage building in Penang. It formerly
served as the residence and office of
Kapitan Chung Keng Quee, the
19th-century leader of the Hai San
secret society. Today, it operates as a
premier museum showcasing the history,
architecture, and cultural heritage of
the Peranakan community, featuring a
magnificent collection of over 1,000
priceless artifacts.
