
Dr. Peerapol
Chatchawal, Director of the Office of
Arts and Culture, along with Mr. Krittha
Thamcharoensathit, Deputy Director for
Administration and Planning, and other
relevant personnel, traveled to attend a
preparatory meeting and survey the route
and venue for the Royal Kathina Robe
Offering Ceremony on July 8, 2026. Suan
Sunandha Rajabhat University, in
response to His Majesty's royal
patronage, will offer the robes to Wat
Sri Suriyawongsaram in Ratchaburi
Province. The ceremony is scheduled for
Thursday, November 5, 2026, at 10:00 AM.
The abbot of this temple is Phra
Phrommongkol Wacharachan (Sawai Watthano
Prasatthapong), a high-ranking monk and
deputy head of the Dhammayuttika Nikaya.
He is the younger brother of His
Holiness Somdej Phra Ariyavongsakhatayan
(Amporn Amparo), the Supreme Patriarch
of Thailand.
In this meeting,
Phra Kru Worakit Kosol (Suphakit
Pholyano) represented the abbot. Mr.
Boonsueb Khlibpeng, Director of the
Religious, Arts and Culture Promotion
Group, Ratchaburi Provincial Cultural
Office, also attended the meeting to
determine the guidelines for organizing
this ceremony. This is to ensure that
the ceremony is conducted correctly
according to Buddhist precepts and to
fulfill the royal devotion in the form
of His Majesty the King's gracious
granting of the Kathina robes to the
university for this
offering.
