The Office of Arts and Culture, Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University, continues to preserve and expand the heritage of Thai culinary wisdom through the project “Krua Padiwarada Naraphirom: The Charm of Thai Flavors from the Royal Court to the Local Community.” The event was held at Wat Maklua Community, Khlong Yong Subdistrict, Nakhon Pathom Province, an area rich in culinary culture, reflecting the charm of flavors, lifestyles, and local wisdom of the central region.

The event received cooperation from the “Yok Phon Khon Nam Phrik” program by the Thai PBS Arts and Culture Media Center, which organized activities for exchanging knowledge about Thai food. These included a chili paste competition, providing a platform for the community to showcase their skills and the stories behind their flavors, as well as a panel discussion, “Old Bowls, Telling Stories of Flavors,” which conveyed the value of Thai food through memories, wisdom, and local ingredients.

Another highlight was the sharing of experiences from the Bang Chang Chili Paste team from Samut Songkhram Province, the runner-up of “Yok Phon Khon Nam Phrik” Season 1, who shared the charm of local ingredients and their concept of preserving traditional Thai flavors.
The “Krua Padiwarada Naraphirom” project is not only a space for culinary creation but also a platform connecting knowledge from the royal court to the community. Weave together the stories of Thai flavors, culture, and wisdom to preserve and pass them on to future generations sustainably.
