On June 21, 2026, the Office of Arts and Culture, Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University, in collaboration with Chef Jamie James - Mr. Teeradon Supaphanpinyo, organized a workshop on "Pomelo Salad with River Prawns" under the "Padiwarada Kitchen" project. The aim was to transfer knowledge of Thai royal cuisine and promote the use of local ingredients to the community in Ban Wat Maklua, Khlong Yong Subdistrict, Phutthamonthon District, Nakhon Pathom Province.
The workshop focused on learning about ingredient selection, seasoning techniques, and serving the "Pomelo Salad with River Prawns" dish. It combined Nakhon Pathom pomelo, a renowned fruit of the province, with meticulous Thai royal cuisine cooking techniques to add value to local ingredients. The knowledge gained can be used to create jobs and develop community products.
The Padiwarada Kitchen project is part of the Office of Arts and Culture's efforts in arts and culture at Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University, which aims to preserve, transmit, and develop Thai culinary heritage through the integration of academic knowledge with the community, fostering pride in local identity, and promoting a sustainable creative economy based on cultural capital.
